Thank you for donating to our March for Babies team! We successfully surpassed our goal, and are currently at well over $1100 in donations. 77% of every dollar raised by March of Dimes goes directly to research and programs to help take care of babies born early and ultimately reduce the number of premature babies born each year. The surfactant Charlie got in the hospital to help his lungs develop is just one example of medication and treatment researched and advanced by the March of Dimes.
The local March of Dimes chapter has asked me to be the March for Babies Alexandria Mission Speaker, which just gives me a chance to show Charlie off and share his successes with other moms and dads of preemies. It's so neat to think that his story could give someone else hope!
