Tonight George and I were working with Charlie, sitting a foot or so apart from each other and helping him walk back and forth between us. And, surprise surprise, he actually took a few steps on his own!! He didn't go far, but he was SO pleased with himself and thought it was such a great game to let go of one of us and get to the other. Sometimes that meant diving face first into the other's lap, but several times, he gave walking on his own a real try. And the fact that he mastered a few steps on his own reassures me that he'll be taking lots more very soon!
We have a busy week planned; Nana arrives tomorrow and will be with us until Friday, and the Hallers come in on Friday for the weekend. I have Thursday off and am also taking Friday off, and George is hoping he'll be able to be home with us on Thursday as well. We can't wait! We have so much to be thankful for, not the least of which is the love and support of our family and friends. And of course the happy, sweet, learning, growing miracle boy that we're so lucky to have in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving! Lots of love from the Griffins.
