So glad to have another day!

I am so glad to have an extra day with my baby! 2 day weekends are too short - it's so hard to spend so many days only getting a few hours with Charlie in the evenings, so I cherish my weekends, especially the long ones!
We've had a great weekend this weekend! We went to Lia's 2nd birthday, where Elmo even made an appearance. Charlie was nonplussed - he doesn't watch tv yet, so the excitement of Elmo was lost on him. Yesterday we had some friends for lunch, and then went to the T-Mobile store. I now have a new working phone, and Charlie has his own, lucky boy!

Right now he's standing next to me, holding onto the couch. We had his new physical therapist for a visit on Wednesday, and she showed us how to put on Charlie's orthotics and how to help him pull up. And now he's pulling up on his own! We're so lucky to be in the Fairfax County Infant and Toddlers Program - Charlie catches onto everything they teach him so amazingly fast! It probably would have taken us longer to figure out how to teach Charlie to pull himself up without their help. All it took was teaching him to lean to one side when he's on his knees so he could pull a knee up and get a foot on the ground. Now he's pulling up on his own all the time!

And he's even taking some steps holding onto things! In the following video, he's trying to walk with his push toy. He's still fearful of it a little, but luckily it moves very slowly over the carpet, so it's a great toy for him to practice on.

We're going to head up to the Baltimore Acquarium in a little while, so maybe I'll have more good photos to post tonight!

Thank Allison! It is an awesome thing to think of how far he's come. Love keeping up on Isaac's growth and continual cuteness on your blog!

So wonderful to see how well Charlie is doing! Wow! Sorry we missed seeing him at Lia's (we had to leave early). Hope to see you soon.
