Quick update

This will be a short one because it's late and I have to be up again in 2 hours and then again at 6 a.m. to pump and go to work. But Charlie's making such big strides I couldn't wait to share the news. Tonight he breathed on his own for over 4 HOURS!!! Ladee took him off the C-PAP around 5:30, and he was still off when the night nurse took over, and he was doing so well that she left him off it as well. When we left after 10 he was still breathing well on his own. Way to go Charlie!
He's also just begun trying out the bottle this week, just for minutes at a time, but today he got down 10 ccs in 10 minutes, which is a great start.
To come home, Charlie needs to: 1) breathe on his own (clearly mastering that), 2) eat on his own (working up to that), and 3) regulate his own body temp (pretty close to getting that down as well). He's well on his way!
Couldn't resist singing our little guy's praises a little; we're awfully proud of him!
