another good night

Charlie had another good day and night today. He's now 4 pounds, 11 ounces, and 17.8 inches long.

I got to feed him a bottle tonight, this time all breast milk - they're hoping to get him back on the milk for all his feedings, so hopefully this test will go well. He drank all but 5 ccs from the bottle at tonight's feeding, which was wonderful.

His dad did a very good job of burping him as well.

George also made friends with another "baby" in the NICU tonight, the CPR doll. Jessica, Charlie's nurse tonight, was kind enough to capture the bonding:

Dear Charlie -- Wow... we are very proud of you! Such big steps you have taken in the last week. I can't wait until you come home and we can play on our play mats together. Your friend, Ben (and his mom and dad too)

Marie & George,
I was so happy to read such good news on Charlie when I got back from China. I can not believe how much he has improved over the last few weeks. What a cutie!
Much love,
Kelly Wheatley

Charlie looks great. Tell Grammy Lamb she looked like she was in heaven holding him. You're are all still in our thoughts & prayers here in Ohio. Just wanted to tell you, you both have been so strong and wonderful parents to Charlie. Keep up the great work. He is just darling.
