Charlie's First Beach Trip

This week is the second annual Griffin family beach trip in Lewes, DE - Diane rented a beautiful house and invited us all to congregate there. Poor George couldn't go - he is in Denver producing convention news. But Charlie and I were able to spend a few days with the family which was great! Charlie got to meet the Lombardi kids for the first time, and while I know he loves all his cousins, he has a special place in his heart for Lydia, the only girl of the group. He just stared at her, mesmerized.

While Charlie is still too little to be out in the heat of the day, Nana and I took him out to the beach as the sun was setting so we could dip his toes in the water. Here he is having his first ocean experience. He gave one little shout which Nana caught on camera, and then fell back asleep. Unimpressed.

Here's Charlie sacked out on the sand, with his Nana, and a chubby little sandy foot.

Charlie also loved spending time with his uncles and aunt. Here's Charlie with Uncle Mike and Uncle Tom.
