Back to how he's feeling, which is pretty puny - although he's perking up tonight. George took him into the doctor this morning, and he has another ear infection, in the same ear as last time, so now he's on even stronger antibiotics. Hopefully he'll be feeling better in no time.
Okay, now he's in bed, and I can finish what I started. We've had a great couple weeks prior to this sickness! Two weeks ago, he shared Valentine's Day with an adorable date, Marie McGarry. I would post the excellent video Marie's mom created of their get-together, but my Hotmail account seems to have deleted approximately 2 weeks of my emails. Yet another reason I should get out of the 90s and start using GMail or something better. Oh well. Last weekend, Nana came to visit, and Charlie had a great time catching up with her. They read and played and gave us a night out (hooray!). We even got down to the Natural History Museum on Sunday, which was lots of fun now that Charlie is so observant. He loved the full-sized elephant in the lobby, and thought all the other animals were interesting as well.
He's doing more and more these days. He recognizes lots of words, even though he still doesn't talk at all. we're getting his hearing tested in a few weeks, but I really don't think that's his problem. He laughs so hard at things, and has such a great giggle. He looks so much more like a boy and so much less like a baby, it's hard for me to take sometimes! He's got a mouth full of teeth, and knows how to use them; the kid can eat! He knows his head and his nose and his mouth. The only problem is, when we ask where his nose is, he's more likely to stick his finger UP his nose than point to it. He's no dummy - he knows what gets him attention.
We're having such a great time with him. He gets funnier and more fun every day (when he's not sick, that is)!
