Busy Baby

We are enjoying the holiday season; we hope you are! December has been exciting already. Charlie has a new person to get to know, sweet Pamela, his nanny, who is going to be taking care of him full time when I go back to work in January. I'm going to miss him to pieces, but I can already tell that Pamela is wonderful with him, and he loves spending time with her. We're so glad to have found her!

Our little guy is not the cuddliest baby, but only because he's constantly moving! He kicks and wiggles and wants badly to sit up on his own. I took a little video on my camera that shows his energy; please forgive the horrible videography. George is the film expert; I don't even take great photos! But it's fun to see him kicking around.

He's getting smarter by the day, too. He definitely knows his bottle, and gives us the baby bird face as soon as a new one is in his line of sight:

This weekend, we took him back to the NICU for the first time. We saw Dr. Mohammed, the doctor that spent the most time with him while he was there, and several of the nurses we love. I know they thought it was a fun surprise - they were all amazed at how big Charlie is, and how great he looks. Here we are with Dr. M and nurse Julie:We also picked out and decorated our tree this weekend. Aunt Katie gave Charlie this cute onesie perfect for tree-buying. This kid has an outfit for everything!

Charlie wasn't so sure about sharing the backseat with a Christmas tree...But he liked it once we got it home and Daddy got it set up so we could decorate! Tonight we read The Lorax by the tree, with Charlie sitting up in his Bumbo seat.
Here he is with the beautiful stocking Aunt Liz made for him: And the Baby's First Christmas one Auntie bought him. Santa will have to bring LOTS of goodies to fill two stockings!
