it's been a while...

Life has been busy these days! Last weekend, Charlie stayed with his Nana for the weekend - he had a great time with her and Aunt Patti, and we are so grateful to them for allowing us the time to get away. George and I had a fabulous time at Sarah and Sam's beautiful wedding in Wilmington, NC! They put on quite the affair, and we're so happy for them and were so honored to be a part of the weekend! Not to mention, it was a really nice weekend for us to focus on each other for a little while. And great timing... last week was crazy for both of us at work. I was still running stats at 11 Monday night, and George was working election coverage all night Tues, so it was a tiring week! I took Charlie with me to the polls on Tues, dressed in the cute Totally Non-Partisan onesie from my cousin Elizabeth - he was a big hit!
This weekend has been really nice too - I took Friday off, and my good friend Christi came from Houston to meet Charlie and spend the weekend with us. He loved her, and we had a great time catching up. And we'll be posting some great photos soon - she's an expert photographer, so we can't wait to see the ones she got of Charlie.
Charlie saw the developmental specialist on Friday - things still look good. We need to work with him some on his sitting up, tummy time, and his reach, but his fine motor skills and ability to track objects with his eyes are great. Just over the weekend since we've been working on his shoulder strenght, he's already improved, and I know he's just going to continue to get stronger because he works so hard. He's our little hero!
