What a birthday!

What a great birthday I've had! Last night Charlie slept 6 straight hours, which was a fantastic birthday gift, and as a result we had a great day today. It was beautiful here - in the 70s most of the day and not humid, which is very unusual for August in DC. I took the day off and got to spend some quality time with my boy. We were so excited about the weather that we actually took three walks - one with Aunt Katie, one with dad, and one just us.

Katie and Brent were in town for their other nephew's baptism, and they stayed with us, which was lots of fun. Katie is due in the end of September, so she will not be able to travel much longer. We felt lucky to have her here one more time before baby Ro arrives! And Charlie's a big fan of Uncle Brent too - anyone who will sing to him is high on his list!

George treated me to a fancy birthday dinner on Sat night, and the Bettags were so nice to baby-sit our little guy. We really enjoyed our adult time, and then we had a great time visiting with the Bettags after dinner.

We had fun seeing Emily this week, who was nice enough to come out our way to meet the little guy. Charlie loves attention from cute ladies - look at him gaze at her!

Here are a couple more sleeping photos - Charlie cashed out on his dog again, and enjoying hanging out in the swing.
