Happy 4th of July!

So yesterday was Charlie's due date. While he obviously didn't arrive on time, that date will still be important for the next couple of years, because although he is 15 weeks old now, we'll gauge his development based on his due date. In other words, right now even though he's over 3 months old, he's behaving like a newborn. Anyway, we decided it would be fun to give him a "zero birthday", so I made dinner and a cake and we celebrated how far he's come before he was even supposed to be here! The homemade icing was a little heavier than I'd expected and as a result, my cake is a little lopsided... but it tasted good!

We started the day with a bath, because the little guy had required not one but TWO wardrobe changes in the middle of the night - maybe he's growing out of the newborn diapers already? Cleaning a baby is a little tough at 4 a.m., so he needed a bath first thing. Here he is, fresh and clean and looking handsome in his handsome onesie. Happy zero birthday Charlie!

That was a great idea that Melissa gave you for the 0 celebration. Did you use her candle? Looks like all enjoyed the fiesta!
